The 3 Mindset Blocks Hindering Your Success and Abundance
In my journey toward personal and professional success, I’ve encountered challenges that went far beyond the external. The biggest hurdles? Mindset blocks. Most of the resistance I faced on my path to success and abundance stemmed from internal beliefs that held me back.
As I celebrate my 29th journey around the sun 🎂, I felt inspired to reflect and share the three mindset blocks that hindered my growth for years—and how I worked through them. These mindset shifts not only allowed me to overcome challenges but also helped me manifest abundance, success, and personal fulfillment beyond my physical goals.
Let’s explore the mindset blocks that may be hindering your progress and the strategies you can use to break free, step into an abundant mindset, and unlock your fullest potential.
1. Feeling Unworthy or Not Good Enough
The most common and deeply rooted mindset block is the belief that we’re unworthy or not good enough. Many of us carry self-doubt rooted in our upbringing, environments, or experiences that told us what we could or couldn’t achieve. This block often affects every area of life, from relationships to career aspirations and financial goals.
Signs of Feeling Unworthy:
Believing you don’t deserve happiness or success.
Feeling inadequate to pursue big dreams.
Holding onto limiting beliefs inherited from your environment.
Want that fairytale love? You’re worthy of a relationship that uplifts and empowers you.
Want financial freedom? Educate yourself, create a plan, and believe you’re capable of building wealth.
Want to feel happiness? Start by reframing your perspective and defining what joy looks like for you.
Example from My Journey:
I’ve always loved writing, but for years I doubted my abilities. Growing up, unsupportive teachers and a lack of encouragement led me to suppress my creative passions. It wasn’t until I did inner child work that I rediscovered my love for writing. I’ve since begun working on my first fiction book—a project that only became possible after I released the belief that I wasn’t good enough to become an author.
Strategies to Overcome This Block:
Practice self-compassion and replace negative self-talk with affirmations.
Focus on personal growth rather than external validation.
Celebrate every step forward, no matter how small.
2. Not Feeling Resourceful Enough
Another mindset block is the belief that you don’t have enough resources to achieve your goals—whether it’s money, knowledge, or support. However, resourcefulness often trumps resources. Abundance isn’t always about what’s in your bank account; it’s about recognizing and utilizing the opportunities around you.
Signs of Limited Resource Mindset:
Believing you need more money to start your dreams.
Postponing goals due to perceived lack of support or connections.
Focusing on scarcity rather than abundance.
Example from My Journey:
For years, I overspent on makeup to feel confident in my appearance. Deep down, I didn’t love myself without it. When I shifted my mindset and focused on self-love, I stopped spending thousands at Sephora and redirected that money into investments. Today, I embrace my natural beauty and build wealth instead of feeding insecurities.
Strategies to Overcome This Block:
Adopt a mindset of abundance—opportunities are everywhere if you look.
Explore budget-friendly options that align with your goals.
Share your dreams with others to attract the help and support you need.
3. Not Feeling Capable Enough
The third major mindset block is rooted in the belief that you’re not capable of achieving your dreams. This block often stems from fear of failure and a lack of confidence in your abilities. But the truth? You’re more capable than you realize.
Signs of a Fixed Mindset:
Thinking you’re not smart, talented, or skilled enough to succeed.
Avoiding challenges because you’re afraid to fail.
Believing others are naturally better than you.
Example from My Journey:
As a financial coach, I didn’t start out great with money. In fact, my journey to mastering my finances began with a lot of mistakes and self-reflection. But by seeking knowledge, learning from mentors, and staying committed to growth, I gained the confidence to build wealth and teach others how to do the same.

Invest in personal and professional development.
Surround yourself with supportive communities and mentors.
Break tasks into smaller steps and celebrate progress along the way.
